This Saturday, July 22 at 7.30pm, the Cowboys take on the New Zealand Warriors at 1300 Smiles Stadium.
With large crowds expected, police are reminding people of the requirements of parking legally when attending the game. Last season, during one of the Cowboys home games, we saw 188 vehicles issued with $48 fines for illegally parking within the 750m exclusion zone around the stadium.
Officer In Charge of the Townsville Road Policing Unit, Senior Sergeant Brendan White, said that it is important that people attending the game plan ahead in relation to parking.
“Consider using public transport, and obey the traffic directions of officers when leaving the game,” Senior Sergeant Brendan White said.
“Expect a delay in leaving the stadium and please be patient.”
