Halcyon Parks on track to prevent crime

A bold high-speed stolen golf buggy race around their streets and an attempted break-in to the administration block had residents of Halcyon Parks Over 50’s Village in Meridan keen to find out more about crime prevention.

Lucky for them, the Sunshine Coast Volunteers in Policing (ViP) Program has specially trained personnel who can attend and deliver themed presentations to enlighten and educate community members on crime prevention.

That is exactly what happened this week with Volunteers Peter Widt and Natascha Costello responding to a request from Kate Clark the Community Manager of Halcyon Parks. Together Peter and Natascha presented a session to a very attentive crowd on home security and steps to take to foil thieves and thwart their criminal plans.
