Since that time there have not been any further reports to police about wheelie bin fires however fires have now deliberately been lit in portable toilets in Caloundra West and newspapers taken to a construction site in Pelican Waters.

Caloundra QFRS report that the calls for service have been after midnight and the fires were deliberately malicious and reckless.

Fire spreads rapidly and setting fires can potentially spread to domestic property and endanger the lives of people inside.

Arson is a serious crime and anyone convicted can be liable to a term of imprisonment and a significant fine.
