Police have charged over 102 people with drug, property and weapons offences as part of a local drug operation targeting the sale and production of dangerous drugs, particularly ice.
Operation Oscar Oneida, which has been running since November 2016, has seen 33 search warrants executed across the Chinchilla, Dalby and Tara regions by police from Dalby Burnett Patrol Group, as well as Darling Downs and Brisbane regions.
The operation has resulted in 102 people being charged with a total of 407 offences, including trafficking and supply of dangerous drugs, possession of drugs, possession of utensils and possessing proceeds of crime.
Notable arrests include:
- Three persons charged with trafficking a dangerous drug (ice)
- 156 charges of supplying a dangerous drug
- the seizure of 56 grams of ice
- the seizure of in excess of 5kg of cannabis
- the seizure of approximately $12,000 in cash
- the seizure of a number of illegal firearms
- the recovery of stolen property
The operation also saw a number of outstanding assaults, break and enters and other property related offences solved.
