The week that was in Dalby, June 16

On June 11 a 25-year-old Dalby man was given an on the spot fine for a Public Nuisance Offence after he used obscene language towards staff and threw food and drinking straws around a Drayton Street fast food restaurant.

On the same day a 43-year-old Dalby man was intercepted driving a motor car on Alice Street, Dalby. He failed a roadside breath test so was detained and transported to the station for further testing.  He was found to have a blood alcohol reading of .066% and will appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on July 4.

On June 12 Dalby Police intercepted a vehicle in Pratten Street, Dalby after the driver was acting suspiciously. The 48-year-old female driver was not the owner of the vehicle and had no permission from the owner to be driving it. It was further found that her driver license was disqualified and that she appeared to be badly affected by either liquor or a drug. She was arrested and charged with the offences of Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle, Disqualified Driving and Driving Whilst Under the Influence of Liquor or a Drug. A blood sample taken from her will be analysed at a later date. She will appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on July 25.

On June 14 a Charles Street, Dalby resident who was awoken during the night found his home had been broken into and watched as the offender decamped out the laundry door. The resident gave chase but could not find the offender. It was found that his wallet and cars keys had been stolen.
