Tara Police fortnightly wrap, Wednesday May 3

On April 16, a 47-year-old woman from Tara was located driving an all terrain vehicle on Bullock Head Road, Tara with two juvenile passengers. The all terrain vehicle was unregistered, uninsured and the driver had exceeded the safe seating capacity of the vehicle. The driver was issued three infringement notices totalling $681.

On April 16, an 18-year-old man from Palmview was detected driving a vehicle at 158km/hr in a 100km zone on the Moonie Highway, Moonie. He was issued an infringement notice for $1,137 and his licence will be suspended for six months.

On April 17, a 46-year-old man from Tara was at a supermarket on Day Street, Tara yelling and swearing. He was issued a $117 infringement notice for being a public nuisance.

Between April 15 and April 20, persons have allegedly entered a rural property on Tara Kogan Road, Tara and stolen a Mitsubishi grain auger.

Between April 10 and April 25, persons have allegedly entered a rural property on Surat Development Road, near the Moonie Highway. They have then allegedly entered an unlocked vehicle and stolen a Winchester lever action rifle, carry bag and ammunition.

On April 20, between 9am and 10am, unknown persons have entered a vehicle on Binnie Street, Tara and stolen an iPad.

On April 22, a 14-year-old boy from Tara was charged with stealing.

On April 22, a 19-year-old man from Tara was located on Fry Street, Tara driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle. He was issued a notice to appear at Dalby Magistrates Court on May 9 and the registration plates were seized by police.

Between April 21 and 24, unknown persons have entered an unlocked address on Porter Street, Tara and removed cash and pocket knives from the premises.

On April 25, between 3pm and 6pm, on Day Street, Tara in the vicinity of a licensed premises a vehicle has reversed into a Holden Rodeo utility and driven off without reporting the damage.

On April 29, a 43-year-old woman from Sutherland in NSW was at a Tara medical facility and was located in possession of a utensil used to smoke drugs. She was issued a notice to appear at Dalby Magistrates Court on June 20.

On April 30, a 34-year-old woman was at showgrounds in Tara allegedly creating a disturbance and interfering with a Polo cross function. She is due to appear before the Dalby Magistrates court on May 30.
