Police sell National Police Remembrance Day ribbons at stations today

Today marks National Police Remembrance Day. It is a national commemoration where we stop and remember all those fallen officers who gave so much in the line of duty.

At both the Roma Street and Central Railway Stations this morning, recruits from the Queensland Police Academy were joined by volunteers from Community Supporting Police and Q-Bank to assist with handing out blue commemorative ribbons to members of the public and raising funds for Police Legacy. Officers from the Railway Squad were also present to support the initiative.

Police Legacy do a remarkable job in aiding the families of those officers who have died in the line of duty.

Thank you to all those who supported this cause.
