The QPS rubgy league team kicks off in Cloncurry

Today the Queensland Police Service Rugby League team headed out to Cloncurry State School to assist the National Rugby League and Queensland Rugby League development officers with coaching clinics.

Two groups of students, including preps to grade 6 and grades 7 to 12 worked on their skills in a number of different training exercises throughout the day. The kids had fun interacting with the QPS rugby boys and even had a chance to chat about the role of a police officer.

Today’s clinics lead into this weekends’s events where teams will compete for the Arthur Beetson Foundation Shield. Here, Queensland Rugby League will be selecting outback representative teams.

As part of those celebrations, the QPS rugby team will be playing a Northern Outback Invitational team at the Cloncurry Rugby League Football Club tomorrow.

The day kicks off at 8:30am and we hope to see you there!
