Robbery arrest, Loganlea

Detectives from the Logan District Child Protection and Investigation Unit have arrested a 13-year-old youth for robbery in company and stealing.

The incident occurred on Thursday September 7, on Station Road, Loganlea when the offender along with three other youths approached two 13-year-old victims and demanded they hand over their mobile phones.

The offenders snatched both mobile phones from each victim.

When one of the victims tried to take his phone back he was punched in the face. Both offenders then ran off.

On Tuesday September 12, detectives executed a search warrant on the offenders home and located clothing worn by the him at the time of the offence.

The stolen mobile phones were not located. Inquiries are continuing to locate the remaining offenders and stolen mobile phones.

The youth offender will appear in the Beenleigh Children’s Court on September 25.
