Browns Plains Police continue targeting drug offenders

Browns Plains Police continued their enforcement action against local criminal activity on Wednesday 17 May. The Browns Plains Police Station Crime Reduction Unit executed a search warrant at a Browns Plains address seizing a quantity of drugs and other items used in conjunction with drug offences.

Seized items included a quantity Cannabis, Cannabis seeds, nearly 20g amphetamines, coffee grinders, smoking utensils (spoons, bongs and glass pipes), used syringes, scales, a quantity of cash and firearms.

A 41-year-old Browns Plains man was arrested to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on June 6 on ten charges. It will be alleged the man had possession of dangerous drugs (Cannabis and Amphetamines), possession of smoking utensils, possessed items used in conjunction with a drugs offence, unlawful possession of weapons, trafficked dangerous drugs, and possessed explosives.

Senior Constable Luke Konstantinos, Browns Plains Station Crime Reduction Unit, said the team will continue to action drug-related offences to curb drug use and supply in the Browns Plains area.

“The ongoing support and assistance provided by the public to identify illegal drug activity in the local area is sincerely appreciated,” Senior Constable Konstantinos said.

“All credible information will be investigated and I encourage anyone with drug information in the Browns Plains area to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
