At about 2.30pm on Saturday June 27, Police received information from members of the public in relation a male person driving a Toyota van in a dangerous manner in Maroochy Crescent, Beenleigh. Police from Loganholme Police Station have responded and located the driver a short distance from the vehicle after he stopped it in the middle of the road and walked away from the vehicle.
The driver submitted to a road side breath test and was conveyed to Loganholme Police Station for a breath analysis. It will be alleged that the driver’s reading was nearly six times over the legal limit (0.294 per cent). Police will also allege the driver had a Probationary Licence which carries the legal limit of 0.000 per cent.
A 33-year-old man is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on July 10 in relation to this matter. His licence has been suspended.
