Surfers Paradise Police congratulate their POOTY nominees

Surfers Paradise Police Station Officer In Charge Senior Sergeant Jim Munckton is proud to announce two nominees for the Police Officer of the Year (POOTY) Award 2017.

Sergeant John Goobanko and Administration Officer Tracie Hocart are among this year’s nominee for Police Officer and Admin Officer of the Year.

Sergeant John Goobanko and Administration Officer Tracie Hocart have been nominated for this year’s POOTY award.

Senior Sergeant Munckton says the awards recognise the contribution of the members to their colleagues and the community.

“People don’t see the sacrifices that police and staff make like being away from their families at night and putting themselves in harms way for their community,” Senior Sergeant Munckton said.

“The POOTY awards are a great recognition of the hard work the nominees perform.”

The Awards, hosted by the Broadbeach Rotary Club, will be announced at a dinner at the Southport Golf Club later this month.

The staff from Surfers Paradise Station congratulate John and Tracie for their nomination and wish them luck on the night.
