Car fire – Miami

Police are investigating a fire that has destroyed two cars and a carport at Miami overnight.

Around 11.30pm a police crew that was patrolling the Miami area came across a car on fire in a carport of a residence at Christine Avenue and immediately alerted other emergency services.

The fire continued to spread to a second vehicle and also the overhead aluminium carport.

Emergency services attended and extinguished the fire however the two cars and the carport were totally destroyed.

During the incident the residents of the house and nearby unit blocks were evacuated.

The fire was contained to the carport with no other property damaged and no one injured.

Police are continuing their investigations into the cause of the fire.
