Memorial Service – Retired Volunteer In Policing, Don McNabb

Retired Volunteer In Policing, Don McNabb recently passed away after a courageous battle with cancer and a service was held in Proserpine.

Due to Don’s long term connection with the Gold Coast and his volunteer work with the QPS, Gold Coast District Crime Prevention Unit together with Don’s family have made arrangements for a memorial service to be held on the Gold Coast for family, friends and colleagues.

Colleagues, relatives and friends are warmly invited to attend Don’s Memorial Service.

When: Saturday 13 October 2012, 10.30am

Where: The Spit car park (at the very end of Seaworld Drive).

Relatives, friends and colleagues will line the rock wall as a guard of honour as the McNabb family board a Queensland Water Police vessel in the Seaway to spread Don’s ashes at sea, as per his wishes.   Following this Don’s family have invited QPS representatives and friends to the Surfers Paradise RSL for personal tributes and light refreshments.

The Queensland Police Service and event organisers support and encourage the responsible consumption of alcohol.
