Injury traffic crash, Mareeba: Police are investigating a two vehicle traffic crash on Constance Street, Mareeba at the intersection with Herberton Street at about 5.15pm yesterday.

Police will allege one vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign, entered the intersection and collided with the other vehicle.

Both drivers, a 24-year-old Salisbury man and a 39-year-old Mareeba man both sustained minor injuries.

A 39-year-old woman, 10-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl travelling in the red sedan also sustained minor injuries.

All five people were conveyed to the Mareeba Hospital for observation.

Police investigations are continuing.

Don’t drink and drive, Kuranda: A 29-year-old Mareeba woman is scheduled to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court next month charged with one count of drink driving.

Police allege the woman was intercepted by police for an RBT on Rob Veivers Drive, Kuranda at about 11.20pm yesterday.

The woman returned a reading of 0.212 per cent which is more than four times the legal limit of 0.05.
