Police attend the 21st Buddha Birth Day Festival

Last weekend police attended the 21st annual Buddha Birth Day Festival that ran over three days at the Southbank Parklands on the banks of the Brisbane river from Friday, April 28 to Sunday, April 30.

The Buddha Birth Day Festival, now an Iconic Event of Queensland, is also a signature event for Brisbane. With 200,000 visitors the festival is Queensland’s biggest multicultural event and the largest annual celebration of Buddha’s.

Officer in Charge, West End Station – Senior Sergeant Shane Thowe and Inspector Jo-Anne Henderson, Riverside Patrol Group enjoyed the bathing of Buddha and 21st birthday cake cutting ceremonies as part of the Buddha Birth Day Festival.
