Mayoral Prayer Breakfast, Toowoomba

This morning, over 600 of Toowoomba residents, including students, teachers, council members, representatives from various organisations and police, attended the 2017 Mayoral Prayer breakfast at the Rumours International.

After a hearty breakfast and presentations from a variety of church organisations, guest speaker,Andrew Scipione AO APM addressed the audience. Mr Scipione was the former NSW Police Commissioner for ten years and had only retired five weeks ago.

Mr Scipione provided a fantastic presentation on the importance of leadership, in particular focusing on his own personal experiences of having three adults from his church provide him as a young 14-year-old who’s father had passed away, with leadership skills needed to continue with a successful career and happy family life.

Mr Scipione complimented the police present, acknowledging the work that police do to serve the community.
