Break and enters, Mt Ommaney

Mount Ommaney police are currently investigating break and enters which occurred in close time frames on May 4 around 4am in Sumners Road and Daintree Place.

At around 4.05am the residents of a house in Sumners Road were alerted to the attempted break-in as the offenders kicked the front door repeatedly trying to gain entry. The offenders have fled once the residents woke to the noise. A silver/grey sedan, possibly a Mazda 3 was sighted leaving the location.

A short time later a resident in Daintree Place was entered through damaging a fly screen door then through a possibly unlocked front door. Keys to a car were stolen from the bedside table while the occupants slept. A blue Commodore bearing NSW registration plates CG79TG was stolen from the residence. A large quantity of tools were reported stolen.

Police are reminding residents to be vigilant with home and vehicle security measures.
