Calling parents to attend information night on illicit drugs

Police often field many questions from members of the public and in particular parents in relation to illegal or illicit drugs. We all know that illicit drug use can be a problem for some members of the community with drug use causing many health and social issues.

To help address a lot of the questions that parents/carers and interested community members have, local police are running a drug information night.

When: Tuesday, May 2
Time: 6.30pm for 7pm start
Where: Performing Arts Centre at Centenary State High School, Jindalee.

Police are encouraging all parents of high school age children and any other interested community members to attend and learn about drugs and the devastating effects on users and their families.

Local police along with an officer from the Drug Squad and addiction and mental health specialists will be on hand to talk about drugs and what parents need to be looking out for.

Parking is available of Curragundi Road, Jindalee. Look for the police car marking the entrance to the driveway.
