Police Liaison Officer Ken Rong at Calamvale Police Station

Centenary Crime Prevention Unit is rolling out the welcome mat to our South Brisbane District Police Liaison Officers, Ken and Purdy. Police Liaison Officers have a pivotal role in the development of positive police and community relationships within the South Brisbane District.

Ken and Purdy will be seen working around the Centenary Policing Division in 2017. Whilst predominately working in South Brisbane District, we get to enjoy their company at Calamvale station on most Wednesdays.

Ken and Purdy are kept undertaking a number of activities including; victim of crime support, facilitating community presentations and projects, liaising with the Consulate General and assisting local community with any concerns or language barriers that may present when needing contact with police.

Purdy has been a Police Liaison officer for 15 years and Ken is not far behind her with nine years of service. If you need the assistance of a Chinese, Cantonese or Mandarin speaking officer, then don’t hesitate to make contact with the Liaison Officers.

We are so happy to have them on board!
