Unlawful wounding, Zillmere

Police have charged a 24-year-old man after a man was allegedly stabbed in a carpark at Zillmere last night.

It will be alleged around 10pm two men were involved in an altercation in the carpark of a convenience store on Handford Road when one of them produced a knife and stabbed the other several times.

A 19-year-old man sustained non life-threatening injuries to his abdomen and was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.

A 24-year-old man, of no fixed address, was charged with one count each of unlawful wounding with a circumstance of aggravation of being a vicious lawless associate (VLAD) and entering a premises and committing an indictable offence and three counts of trespass.

He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
