Burglary, Cranbrook

Police are investigating the robbery of a tobacconist in Cranbrook earlier this morning.

Preliminary inquiries suggest at 12.45am, a man forced entry into the rear of a vacant shop on Ross Rive Road.

He then damaged an internal wall in order to gain entry to the store room of a tobacconist shop located next door.

The man, whose face was covered at the time, stole a quantity of cigarettes before leaving the scene.

Investigations are continuing.
