A 40-year-old man was transported to hospital in a serious condition last night following a skateboarding incident at Pimpama.
Preliminary information indicates the man was riding a skateboard on Aspect Street at around 10pm when it appears he has fallen off, hitting his head on the road.
The man was located by a woman who offered assistance.
Police and emergency services attended the scene and he was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with a significant head injury.
He remains in serious condition.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
