Police are investigating after a woman was robbed at a hotel in Mundingburra late last night.
Initial inquires indicate around 11pm a 65-year-old woman was withdrawing money from an ATM at the front of the hotel on Ross River Road.
As she collected the money she was approached from behind by a man who has then reached over and attempted to grab the money from her.
A struggled has ensued and the man has been able to take the money from the woman and leave the area on foot. The man was last seen running down Bowen Road.
The woman was treated at the scene for soreness to her arm and hand as a result of the assault.
The man is described as Aboriginal in appearance with a slim build.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact police.
Investigations are continuing.
