Serious traffic crash, Pittsworth

A seven-year-old boy and five-year-old girl have suffered serious injuries from a traffic incident at Pittsworth this morning.

Preliminary investigations suggest that around 8:40am, a car struck the children while they were crossing the road, on the corner of Yandilla and Murray streets.

Both children have been airlifted to Lady Cilento Hospital with serious head injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
