Update: Robbery with violence, St Lucia

Police have charged two men following an alleged robbery with violence in St Lucia last night.

Initial investigations indicate at around 10pm a man was sitting in his car on Herschel Street in the Brisbane CBD when another car collided with his vehicle.

The man followed the car to Dell Street in St Lucia where it had crashed into a tree. Two occupants of the car then assaulted the man, stealing his vehicle and fleeing the scene.

The 25-year-old man was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

On Friday, May 19th, police located a man in Indooroopilly after he had allegedly stolen a set of keys from a house. Police located the stolen Black BMW in a nearby street. Police located another man in Fortitude Valley a short time later.

A 32-year-old Spring Hill man and a 22-year-old Currumbin man have been both charged with one count of armed robbery and dangerous operation of vehicle and two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

The 22-year-old Currumbin man has also been charged with burglary and possession of implements.

Both men are expected to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow, May 20.
