Armed robbery, Wamuran

Police are seeking public assistance following an armed robbery that occurred overnight at a super market in Wamuran.

Initial information suggests that a man entered the store on the Daguliar Highway at 6.55pm armed with a firearm.

He made demands for cash, and the female attendant has complied and given the man a sum of cash.

The man then fled the scene on foot.

No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.

Police are seeking public assistance to locate a man described as being around 195cms tall with a proportionate build and was last seen wearing a black balaclava, black shirt, black pants and dirty white lace up shoes.

He was seen with a distinctive firearm with a torch attached to the frontĀ and a glass sight.

Anyone with any information which may assist the investigation is being urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
