Police officer stood down, Northern Region

A 48-year-old male constable from the Northern Region has been stood down from official duty with the Queensland Police Service and will be tasked to perform non-operational duties.

The officer is the subject of an investigation regarding allegations of failure to obey a direction by a commissioned officer, untruthfulness, failure to report serious crime and inappropriate management of an informant.

In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct.  This does not mean the allegations against the officer have been substantiated.
