Robbery with violence, Gympie

Police are appealing for public assistance after a robbery with violence in Gympie on Monday morning.

Initial investigations suggest two men attended an address at Southside in relation to a car sale.  The two men took the vehicle for a test drive with the owner before demanding cash from him.

The pair then drove the man to various locations in the Gympie area and assaulted him, causing minor bruising to the man’s face before leaving him on the side of the road and driving away in his vehicle.

The vehicle (pictured) is a Blue Subaru, Queensland registration 877-WJV.  The vehicle has masking tape on the driver’s side of the front bumper.

One man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his mid-20s, of a medium build with an olive complexion and black hair.

The other man is described as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, aged in his late 20s, of a medium build with a dark complexion and black hair.
