Enter dwelling with intent and assault, Waterford

Police are investigating following an assault in Waterford late last night.

Initial investigations suggest around 11:15pm a group of men and a woman armed with crowbars and hammers forced their way into a residence on High Road and assaulted two male residents.

The group were eventually forced from the residence and fled on foot along High Road towards the Logan River Road, where it is believed they left in an unknown vehicle.

A 39-year-old man was transported to Logan Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries to his chest.
