Armed robbery, Southport

Police are investigating after a service station was robbed by a man armed with a knife at Southport tonight.

Around 6.08pm a man entered the Johnston Street business and approached a male attendant demanding money.

After taking cash the man fled on foot and was last seen running in a westerly direction along Johnston Street.

The male attendant was not physically harmed during the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian and last seen wearing a balaclava, beanie, sunglasses, long sleeved t-shirt and gloves.
