Update: Unlawful wounding, Zillmere and disturbance at Chermside

Police have laid further charges against a 24-year-old man following the alleged stabbing of a man in Zillmere and a public nuisance incident at Chermside on Sunday night.

It will be alleged a 19-year-old man was stabbed in the carpark of a convenience store on Handford Road around 10pm.

It will further be alleged just before the incident an altercation occurred in which an implement was swung at a 28-year-old man at the same location.

Further investigations indicate earlier that night a group of men caused a public nuisance at a licensed premises inside a Chermside shopping complex.

It will be alleged during the incident chairs were thrown within the restaurant area and a bottle of alcohol was stolen.  No one was physically injured during the incident.

A 24-year-old man of no fixed address was overnight charged with one count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, stealing and public nuisance. It follows the same man being charged with unlawful wounding and trespass yesterday.

He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

Investigations into the incident are Chermside at continuing.
