Armed robbery, Calamvale

Police are investigating following an armed robbery on Golden Avenue in Calamvale yesterday afternoon.

Initial investigations suggest at around 5pm two 14-year-old boys were walking along Golden Avenue towards Kameruka Street when they were approached by a vehicle containing four people.

A man in the front passenger seat then threatened the boys with a baseball bat, demanding items from their bags. The boys complied with the man’s demands before the car fled the scene.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The vehicle (similar to pictured) is described as a black 1992 Toyota Celica with red P plates and spoiler.

One man is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, aged in his early 20s with a muscular build. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap and black t-shirt.

Investigations are continuing.
