Armed Robbery, Springwood

Police are searching for a man following an armed robbery of a business in Springwood last night.

Shortly after 10pm, a man entered a sandwich store on Rochedale Road and produced a machete.

He made demands for cash from the male attendant, who complied, and the man then fled the scene with a sum of cash.

No one was injured as a result of the robbery, and the man was last seen leaving the business on foot.

He is described as being Pacific Islander in appearance, aged in his 20s and was last seen wearing jeans, white and grey shoes, a red hooded jumper with black sleeves and had a mask covering his mouth.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who may recognise the man depicted in released CCTV images (below) to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
