Police are investigating after a projectile was fired through the window of a Bethania aged care facility last night.
Around 9.30pm, residents near to the Clarendon Road facility reported hearing a loud bang.
Subsequent inspections of the building revealed a suspected bullet hole in an external window of the ground floor of the three-level facility.
The projectile has also caused damage to an internal curtain, wardrobe, television and a plasterboard wall. Shrapnel was also located throughout the room.
A 92-year-old male resident was asleep in the room at the time, but he was not harmed.
It is believed the projectile may have been fired from south to north across Logan River Road at Waterford.
The Logan District Criminal Investigation branch is investigating.
