Christmas Road Safety Campaign – Day 7

christmas road safety campaign 2015Following the release of statistics from day 7 of the Christmas Road Safety campaign, police are continuing to remind motorists to obey speed limits after car was detected travelling 176km in 100km zone on the Pacific Motorway at Loganholme.

Over the Christmas Holidays, Police are enforcing high risk road user behaviour including the fatal five: speeding, fatigue, impaired driving (drink and drug), failure to wear a seat belt and distraction/inattention in a concerted effort to minimise road trauma.

The campaign started at 12.01am Wednesday, December 23 and concludes at 11.59pm on Sunday, January 3, 2016.
