Armed robbery, The Range (Rockhampton)

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Murray Lane premises this morning at The Range.

Around 10.20am a man entered the premises which is a business and residence combined. The man spoke to the female attendant in the business before going through a door into the residence. The man then walked out.

A few minutes later the man returned, walking through the business and into the residence where he picked up a handbag. The man then threatened the attendant with a knife causing her to run to safety outside.

The man then left the premises carrying the handbag and was last seen running towards West Street and into Cousins Street.

The attendant was not physically harmed during the incident.

The man is described as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, 165cm tall, of slim build with dark brown hair. He was wearing black trousers, a white jersey and a black hat.
