Robbery, Inala

South Brisbane police are investigating a robbery that occurred yesterday afternoon in Inala.

Around 2.45pm, a man approached another man sitting in a vehicle in Brolga Street and asked him a question before reaching into the car and taking the man’s wallet from his shirt pocket.

The offender then threatened the man with violence and intimated that he had a syringe in his possession before removing a sum of cash from the wallet and returning it to him.

He then left the scene and was last seen heading on-foot along Gannet Street towards Inala Avenue.

The man is described as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, around 175cm tall, with a slim build and in his mid-20s.

He was last seen wearing a brown hooded jumper and a cap.

Investigations are continuing.
