Neighbourhood Watch Information Evening – 11th September 2013

Neighbourhood Watch is gaining popularity again with many people showing an interest in wanting to know what is happening in their community as well as crime prevention strategies to help reduce the risks of becoming a victim of crime.

Police officers from the Townsville Crime Prevention Unit will be holding an information seminar for the residents in the Townsville area.

Several suburbs within the Townsville areas have previously had the traditional Neighbourhood Watch Areas, however the community support for the programs has reduced over time.

With community support, Neighbourhood Watch can flourish and it’s the intention of the Crime Prevention office to act in an advisory capacity to provide information electronically to the locals in these areas.

For those members of the community wanting to learn more and get on board, they are encouraged to come along to the presentation.
