Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle charges, Kawana Waters

Two women have been charged following a traffic incident that occurred in Bokarina on Saturday, May 6.

At about 6.45pm, police received information that a blue Mitsubishi Lancer sedan (pictured below) was driving in a dangerous manner within the sporting fields at Stocklands Quad Park. The area was being used as a car park for an event that had taken place earlier in the evening.

It will be alleged that the women were driving the vehicle with two one-year-old children seated in the back, within metres of patrons.

Two women, aged 19 and 20 years old have been charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

They are due to appear in Caloundra Magistrates Court on June 7.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed or recorded this incident to contact them.
