Pawsome visit to Mount Isa Special School

On Monday March 27 Mount Isa Special School was visited by police officers and Police Dog (PD) Rowdy.

Mount Isa Adopt-a-Cop Constable Leanne Ernst introduced Senior Constable Josh Bull and PD Rowdy to her school.

Senior Constable Bull gave a talk to the kids about working as a police dog handler and the special responsibility of caring for a police dog.

Policing requires a variety of people with different skills and talents to prevent and detect offences and PD Rowdy uses his superior sense of smell to follow offenders.

Senior Constable Bull and PD Rowdy gave a demonstration of working together as a team, before saying goodbye to the kids.
