Hydroponic Cannabis Setup Located at Burleigh Heads Holiday House

CannabisDetectives from the Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 40-year-old Burleigh Heads woman with unlawfully producing a dangerous drug.

On December 27, detectives executed a search warrant at a house at Burleigh Heads, where they found eight cannabis plants being grown hydroponically in a locked room within the house.

At the time of the raid the house was being occupied by holiday makers. The holiday makers were unaware that the room contained the hydroponic setup and have since relocated to continue their Gold Coast Holiday in other accommodation.

The 40-year-old woman will appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on February 28, 2016.
