Wilful damage, Atherton: Police have charged a 35-year-old woman after a vehicle was damaged in Atherton on Thursday night.

It will be alleged that about 6.20pm the Cairns North woman has approached the victim and asked him for some drugs. When told he didn’t have any, she became angry and threw a rock at the windscreen of his vehicle smashing it.

She is expected to appear in the Atherton Magistrates Court on June 6.

Drink driving, Kuranda: Police have charged a Bakers Creek man after a traffic intercept on the Kennedy Highway, Kuranda on Thursday evening.

It will be alleged the 53-year-old man was intercepted for a roadside breath test at about 11pm, and returned a reading of 0.126 per cent.

He is scheduled to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on June 16, charged with one count of drink driving.
