Three charged over car theft, Silkwood

Three Innisfail men aged 17, 21 and 22-years-old were charged yesterday afternoon with the theft of a car from Silkwood overnight.

Police will allege the offenders have gained entry to a Japoon Road, Silkwood address between 10.30pm May 8 and 6.30am May 9 and stole property including car keys to a vehicles.

The vehicle was located around 11am near Jubilee Road, Daradgee.

The 17-year-old was charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and breaching bail conditions.

The 21-year-old was charged with one count each of break and enter, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and breaching bail conditions.

The 22-year-old was charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing and breaching bail conditions.

The men are due to appear at the Innisfail Magistrates Court today.
