Appeal for information – Attempted Robbery Earlville – July 9

Police are investigating the attempted robbery of a 27-year-old man that occurred on Monday  July 9 at about 6.15pm.

The man was walking west on Balaclava Road when he was approached by a male youth who demanded his wallet.

The man kept walking but was knocked to the ground after he was hit in the head from behind.  A second person attempted to steal the mans wallet, but he defended himself and fought back.  Its believed one person may have sustained a facial injury as he fled on foot holding his face. The other person also took flight.

The pair are described as being of indigenous appearance, males with one being aged about 18 years, of a slim build and about 170cm tall.

The victim sustained swelling and bruising as a result of the incident.
