Brisbane Dog Squad recognise their heroes

The Brisbane Dog Squad and State Dog Squad Training and Development Centre have recently recognised their heroes whose tireless efforts have helped saved their furry comrades on countless occasions.

Jindalee Greencross Vets have been taking the lead on providing veterinary care to local police dogs for the past five years.

As a gesture of their gratitude, representatives from the Brisbane Dog Squad and State Dog Squad Training and Development Centre organised for the Veterinary Director Dr Josh Llinas and Practice Manager Alesisa Priesetley to attend the Dog Squad Complex at Oxley to receive a framed certificate of appreciation.

Dog Squad State Capability Coordinator Acting Senior Sergeant Sean Baxendell said the framed plaque was just a small token of their appreciation.

“The staff have been instrumental in saving some of our dogs’ lives as well as assisting with getting dogs back to operational duties,” Acting Senior Sergeant Baxendell said.
