Serious traffic crash, Clermont

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious traffic crash near Clermont overnight.

Preliminary investigations indicate at an unknown time a vehicle has left Drummond Street near Capricorn Street and collided with a tree.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 22-year-old man from Clermont, was seriously injured as a result. The crash was discovered by a passing motorist around 3am.

The man was transported to Clermont Hospital in a critical condition and will be flown to Brisbane for further treatment.
