Robbery with violence, Springwood

Police are appealing for public assistance following a robbery with violence in Springwood yesterday afternoon.

At around 4:15pm a 45-year-old man was walking in bushland between Chatsworth Road and Paradise Road when he was approached by two men and asked for a cigarette.

When the man refused the two men assaulted him, striking him in the head and stealing his wallet.

The man attended Springwood Police Station and was subsequently transported to Logan Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Both men are described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in their mid to late 20s.

One man is described as 175cm with short red hair and of a medium build, wearing a black t-shirt.

The other man is described as approximately 183cm tall and of a slim build, wearing a grey hoodie.

Anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the robbery is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
