Update – Serious Traffic Crash, Douglas

A 68-year-old man has died following a single vehicle traffic crash that occurred in Townsville last October.

Around 11.15am on October 4, a three-wheeled motorcycle lost control and collided with a gutter at the intersection of Nathan Street and Angus Smith Drive in Douglas.

Initial investigations indicate a man was riding a three-wheeled motorcycle when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a gutter at the intersection of Nathan Street and Angus Smith Drive.

The 68-year-old rider was transported to Townsville Hospital but died yesterday from injuries received in the crash.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
