Detectives have charged a 50-year-old man following investigations into the alleged assault of a 21-year-old woman in Brisbane City last month.
It will be alleged the woman was in King George Square when she was shoulder charged by a man around 7.45pm on February 5.
The woman fell and hit her head on the timber seating around the garden bed, sustaining a laceration to her scalp and was transported to hospital for treatment.
A 50-year-old Calamvale man handed himself into police this morning and has been charged with one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm and common assault.
He is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 6.
